Oud, J(acobus) J(ohannes) P(ieter) (1890-1963)

Oud, Dutch architect and urban planner. Trained and worked as an Architect and Planner dedicated to the production of mass housing he was responsible for several schemes of note. His interest in Abstract painting helped him in his Simplified Designs Forms. As a painter Oud became associated with the influential Stijl Group.
